National projects calling for foreign investment listed

PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a list of 127 national projects which call for foreign investment from now to 2020.

The projects are categorized into five areas: technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, agriculture, processing and preserving and production-service.

The 51 technical infrastructure projects are involved in transportation, energy, urban infrastructure and industrial zones’ infrastructure.
The social infrastructure category includes 20 projects in education and training, health care, culture, sports and tourism.
There are 44 projects in agriculture, fishery and forestry needing foreign investment.
Eight projects are engaged in processing and preserving while four projects in production-service sectors are also listed.
PM Dung required the Ministry of Planning and Investment to work with ministries, agencies and localities to develop the project contents and hold activities to popularise the list.
He also asked for reports to be made on the promotion of the listed projects, supplements or adjustments to the list as the realities and the cost of these activities which is funded from the annual national investment promotion program.
