Mike Tyson in HCM City for filming
10:38, 2016/08/06
Mike Tyson, former world heavyweight boxing champion from the US, has arrived in HCM City to join the cast of “Girls 2”, a comedy-action film directed by Barbara Wong Chun Chun of Hong Kong.
Making a cameo performance, Tyson is playing the role of Dragon who helps three beautiful girls from Hong Kong escape their gangster boss, played by Tran Bao Son.
According to Son, a well-known Vietnamese actor and co-producer of the film, Tyson will have a longer appearance in “Girls 2” than he did in “Ip Man 3”, a film in which the former boxer starred in 2015.

Tyson’s busy week-long schedule will not allow him to sightsee or attend press conferences. “On some days, he is on set for 12 hours,” Son said.
“Tyson looks cool and fierce, but in fact he is lovely and very professional. He told me that he is very interested in Vietnamese people and culture. If he has a chance, he will return and explore more,” Son added.
“Girls 2”, a drama about love and hatred, will be filmed entirely in Vietnam.
The movie features Hong Kong and Taiwanese actresses including Janine Chang, Ivy Chen and Fiona Sit, along with other seasoned Chinese actors.
It is scheduled to open in Hong Kong and other Asian markets during the Christmas season before its release in Vietnam.
