Many international artists to participate in Monsoon Music Festival 2017.
According to the the event organisers, the Thanh Viet Production Company, the three-day event, which is billed to start on November 10 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel on Hoang Dieu Street, will feature artists from Denmark, Belgium, Germany, the UK, South Korea, Slovakia, Israel, Estonia, and Vietnam and focus on electronica, jazz, pop and rock.
A detailed line-up of the artists and ticket information can be found at www.monsoonfestival.vn . A series of six street shows starting from the middle of October will be held as warm-ups for the main event and feature eclectic indie artists.
Monsoon Music Festival (MMF), Vietnam’s biggest music event, will now be celebrated annually as part of an ambitious plan to develop the culture in the capital through 2020, with a vision to 2030.
The plan was recently approved by Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung. Accordingly, the festival also aims to introduce new music projects and offer a playground for different generations to share their passion for music in the space of a world cultural heritage, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.

After 3 years, Monsoon Music Festival has become an integral part of music lovers in Hanoi. Every year, we get to see familiar faces who have become “loyal” participants of the festival: young guests dancing to the rhythm of the music, family members gathering and playing on the ground of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, an old man dedicatedly taking his disadvantaged son to the festival. They all make Monsoon Music Festival an unforgettable experience.
They want to make Monsoon Music Festival a new cultural icon of the city of Hanoi which represents the new Vietnamese generation. Something they can all be proud of and introduce to our friends across the world with great passion and pride “don't forget to visit Monsoon Music Festival while in Hanoi…”. They want everyone to join us on this journey to bring Monsoon Music Festival to the world.
