Hanoians enjoy 60 paintings in 2019 Lunar New Year
A painting exhibition under the theme “the Year of the Pig”, is taking place in Hanoi from January 15 to 23.
Up to 60 works painted by 33 Vietnamese contemporary artists with many styles have been showcased at an exhibition themed “the Year of the Pig” at 115 Nguyen Thai Hoc, downtown Hanoi between January 15 and 23.
This year’s exhibition of paintings for the 2019 Lunar New Year – the Year of the Pig has seen the rise in both the number of painters and the participating works.
The exhibition showcases 60 paintings by 33 contemporary Vietnamese artists, including Thanh Chuong, Dang Thu An, Le Tri Dung and Nguy Dinh Ha. It is expected to contribute to the Vietnamese spring art space as well as providing new perspectives and interesting contemplations for the public of Hanoi on the Pig when entering the threshold of the Year of the Pig - 2019.
On this occasion, the organizing board will host a seminar on Tet paintings with the participation of researcher Phan Cam Thuong, painter Pham An Hai and many artists, whose works are being showcased at the exhibition.
Last year, the Lunar New Year painting exhibition of 2018 - the Year of the Dog displayed 31 paintings by 18 Vietnamese contemporary artists, including Phan Cam Chuong, Thanh Chuong, Pham Kien, Ho Hung, Do Dung, and Pham An Hai.
