According to Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, the Hanoi Ao Dai 2024 Tourism Festival was successfully held as planned by the city's People's Committee.
The festival was attended by 150 organizations and individuals and featured 100 booths, including 85 designers and ao dai brands from Hanoi and Hue, as well as accessory vendors and travel agencies such as Hanoi Tourism Corporation, Vietjet Air, Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, and Duong Lam Management Board.
"Now, after three years, the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival has established its own 'brand' and has become a prominent celebration in Hanoi centered around the Ao Dai. It has turned into an annual tourism highlight in Hanoi, attracting both domestic and international visitors to the capital," Hong Minh said.

The 2024 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival attracted 63,000 visitors, including locals, visitors from all over the country, tourists and international friends.
This year's three-day festival began with an exciting opening ceremony on October 4. This was followed by the Ao Dai Carnival on October 5, with the theme "Empowering Women for Hanoi's Integration and Development," which was attended by 1,000 women from the city. Finally, the lively closing ceremony was held on the evening of October 6.

During the festival, designers and artisans from craft villages organized a dedicated space for ao dai photo exhibitions, along with displays showcasing the beauty of ao dai, tourism products and services, and the craftsmanship of local villages.
Through stories, large-scale and diverse activities, Hanoi's tourism sector hopes to portray ao dai as a "tourism ambassador" and cultural heritage. The long tunic will spread the image of Vietnam to a large number of international tourists and friends, thereby helping to promote the capital Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination.
The Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival also opens new vistas and contributes significantly to making Hanoi and Vietnam's tourism in general a popular destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
