Hanoi to host International Fingerstyle Guitar Festival
Fingerstyle is a genre of solo guitar music characterized by a unique technique of playing guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips or fingernails.
The fifth International Fingerstyle Guitar Festival will be held at the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theater in Hanoi on August 17, aiming to bring a variety and different styles of this technique to Vietnamese audiences, the Government Portal reported.
The event, held by Wind Strings Music Company, the Youth Theater, and Vietnam Fingerstyle Guitar Organization, will welcome performances from five famous foreign guitarists including Feng E from Taiwan (China), CK Chen and Ivan Song from mainland China, Kanaho and Masa Sumide from Japan.
