The Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a ceremony on January 13 to praise and reward outstanding students who won prizes in international science Olympiads during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Thirty-nine outstanding students were present at the ceremony representing the award winners.

Speaking at the event, the Director of the municipal Department of Education and Training, Tran The Cuong, reviewed the achievements of Hanoi students in international contests, and highly valued the efforts of teachers and students who overcame all challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Hanoi's teachers and students made their highest effort. Schools also created the best conditions to meet international standards for holding online examinations. In all, Hanoi students participated in five exams and they all achieved excellent results,” Cuong said.
On this occasion, Hanoi’s education sector presented Certificates of Merit to 19 students, 12 officials, and teachers.
For his part, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung recognized and praised the achievements of Hanoi students during the 2021-2022 school year. Besides, he expressed his pride in the city’s education as it is one of the ten outstanding sectors of Hanoi throughout 2021.

“This is the initial result. The road ahead is still long with many challenges. Thus, teachers and students need to strive to accomplish more achievements and make a better contribution to our society,” Dung said.
He also suggested the city's education sector promptly encourage and honor teachers who have made great efforts and creativity in teaching and fostering students, especially those interested in building a comprehensive educational environment.
The vice chairman wished all students to spread their learning methods and spirits to friends, actively develop skills and increase physical activity.
