Hanoi over a century ago

Although Hanoi has kept much of its charm over the years, in the early 20th century, the city had a very different atmosphere; a more peaceful place where the traffic was mostly pedestrians, tramcars and pulled rickshaws.
The Hanoi of 100 years ago, with streets were lined with two and three-storey buildings, draws quite a contrast with the bustling and noisy capital of today.
