Hanoi Museum became a hub of innovation on November 17, 2024, when the city hosted the "Investment Networking Day and Product Showcase" alongside the semi-finals of the 7th Global Vietnam Startup Challenge.
The event served as a platform for startups to showcase creative ideas and products in the fields of science, technology and digital transformation. Visitors had the opportunity to explore innovative exhibits, engage with cutting-edge technologies, and learn about outstanding startup projects.
Organized by the Hanoi Youth Union, the event is a flagship initiative under Program No. 07 of the 17th Hanoi Party Committee, which focuses on advancing science, technology and innovation from 2021 to 2025.
The main objective of the event is to nurture an open innovation ecosystem, strengthen connections between startups, investors and industry experts, and drive market expansion for Hanoi's science and technology sectors.
"The Investment Networking Day and Product Showcase is a critical initiative to promote innovation, advance science, technology and digital transformation, and foster a vibrant startup ecosystem in Hanoi," said Tran Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union.
This year's Global Vietnam Startup Challenge semifinals brought together nearly 2,000 projects from eight regions, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, the United States, China, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
The event reflects Hanoi's growing role as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. By fostering collaboration and providing a space for creative ideas to thrive, the city is setting the stage for startups to connect with investors, expand their markets, and contribute to the development of a robust, innovation-driven economy.
According to Tuan Anh, a young attendee, this was a great chance for budding business owners to get candid criticism and hone their pitching skills. "These are incredibly important skills that will prove invaluable in the long run," he said.
