Hanoi Gift Tourism Festival 2023 to transpire this weekend

The event aims to promote traditional craft villages, diversify Hanoi's tourism offerings and attract local and international visitors to the capital.

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2023 will be held in the pedestrian zone of Tran Nhan Tong Street from November 3 to 5, according to the city's Department of Tourism.

The annual program aims to stimulate tourism, promote the capital's image as an attractive and safe destination, support artisans and craft villages in tourism gift production, and contribute to local economic development.

As part of the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2023, a variety of cultural activities such as fashion shows, music, circus, bicycle parade, folk art performances, and visual art exhibitions with 3D mapping technology, among others, will be held in the pedestrian area of Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.

Under the theme "See Hanoi for Love", the opening ceremony of the program will be opened to the public on November 3 at 8 pm on the open-air stage at the front gate of Thong Nhat Park on Tran Nhan Tong Street, Ha Ba Trung District.

On the stage with modern sound and lighting, there will be vivid illustrations for artistic performances recreating the life and culture of Hanoi's traditional craft villages from ancient times to today. The program also attracts the participation of famous artists and bands such as saxophonist Thanh Tung, singers Ha Le, Duong Thuan and others.

Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2023 will also include a fashion show called "Imprint of Hanoi Essences" by designers Cao Minh Tien and Nguyen Phuong Thao, which will be held from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm on November 4 on the stage in front of Thong Nhat Park; booths showcasing Hanoi's tourism gift products on Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street; a visual art exhibition using 3D mapping technology; a photo exhibition on Hanoi tourism; a bicycle parade; folk art and modern music performances; Hanoi traditional handicraft demonstration; and a funky photo selfie area with the theme of Hanoi traditional handicraft villages such as Phu Vinh Bamboo and Rattan Village, Chang Son Paper Fan Village, Van Phuc Silk Village, Thach Xa Bamboo Dragonflies Village, and Bat Trang Ceramics Village.

As part of the program, a talk show entitled "Developing Hanoi Tourism Gift Products in 2023" will also be held at the nearby five-star Hotel du Parc Hanoi on November 5 at 9am.
