Tourists can join various cultural and entertainment activities throughout the city during the upcoming holiday.

Many fascinating activities will take place in Hanoi during the 5-day holiday celebrating Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers' Day (May 1).

One of the highlights is the Aloha Summer event, which will be held from April 29 to May 3 at Bao Son Paradise Park in Hoai Duc District, bringing guests to a miniature Polynesian cultural paradise drenched in clear blue water and accompanied by joyful music from the South Pacific.

The park will feature colorful miniatures such as tiki statues, rolling islands, and rooftops steeped in local culture.

It is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm with other attractions and entertainment such as Flying Cinema, Aquarium, Safari, VR Game Park, Kids Town, Outdoor and Indoor Game Complex, Film Studio, Hanoi Old Quarter Replica, Handicraft Village...

The gastronomic and accommodation systems have also been improved to receive a large number of tourists these days.

On this occasion, Bao Son Paradise Park will officially open Happy Farm and Castaway Lagoon Water Park.

At Hanoi Zoo, visitors can participate in the "Talking with Zoo Animals" program with two sessions to discover the habits and characteristics of peacocks (on April 30) and white-cheeked black gibbons (on May 1).

Meanwhile, at the Museum of Ethnology, activities showcasing the traditional art of water puppetry and a program to learn about Korean culture through traditional hanbok costumes and cuisine will be held on April 29 and 30.

Some suburban spots in Hanoi, such as Giong Temple Relic and Bat Trang Pottery Village, will offer visitors tours to discover old villages and make ceramic ware.

The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay Town, Hanoi, will host the Lao Cai Colors program from April 29 to May 3, featuring cultural activities of ethnic groups in the northern province of Lao Cai. Tourists can taste various delicacies such as thang co (stewed horse meat and offal), men men (steamed minced corn), corn liquor, and grilled pork.

Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said his department has focused on improving the quality of products and tourist destinations related to historical relics and handicraft villages.

"We have promoted the development of MICE tourism in places with resort and golf tourism advantages. We are also promoting the capital's new destinations and tourism products on domestic and international media channels," Hieu said.

Earlier, the Hanoi Department of Tourism asked enterprises, organizations, and individuals involved in tourism to strengthen the prevention and control of Covid-19 during the holiday.

In 2023, Hanoi hopes to welcome 22 million visitors, including three million international visitors. It is expected to earn about VND77 trillion (US$3.3 billion).
