The tourists were mainly from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong (China) with the remaing 500 of Indian nationality.
Ha Long City in the northern province of Quang Ninh received 21 five-star Superstar Virgo cruise ship, bringing approximately 1,600 foreign tourists to the city.
Saigontourist, Quang Ninh, who received and organised the tours for the tourists said that they visited Ha Long Bay and other destinations such as Bai Chay market and Hoang Gia park.
The luxury cruise ship left the city on the same day.
