Hanoi Tourism Year 2024 will include a series of interesting cultural events that will carry the unique identity of the city with thousands of years of civilization.

The cultural program titled "Du lich Hanoi chao 2024 - Get on Hanoi 2024" will be held on March 9 and 10 at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space on Lac Long Quan Street in Tay Ho District, according to the city's Department of Tourism.

The event aimed to promote the image of safe, friendly, and attractive destinations in Hanoi to attract more tourists.

The cultural event will cover a series of more than 50 events, including the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2024, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024, the Hanoi Autumn Festival, the Food and Craft Village Tourism Festival, and the Hanoi Ao Dai Festival 2024.

According to the organizers, "Get on Hanoi 2024" will feature a semi-realistic art program based on Hanoi's history and a light show using laser mapping technology.

Participants in the event will have the opportunity to experience Hanoi specialties at culinary venues, admire and purchase handicrafts from Hanoi's traditional artisanal villages, and participate in traditional folk games.

In addition, a photo exhibition featuring award-winning photos from the "Welcome Hanoi City" photo contest would give viewers a glimpse of the lovely, beautiful, and charming capital of Vietnam.

"Get on Hanoi 2024" is also part of a series of cultural activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).

On the same occasion, the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee and the Hanoi Department of Tourism will hand over a decision to recognize Nhat Tan Tourist Area, Tay Ho District, as an urban-level tourist destination.

Hanoi's tourism industry is targeting around 27 million visitors in 2024, up 9.2% on-year. This includes 5.5 million international arrivals, up 16.4% from the 2023 benchmark, and 21.5 million domestic visitors, up 7.5%. Total revenue from tourists is expected to reach VND109.4 trillion (US$4.4 billion), up 11.1% from the 2023 level, while the average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments will rise to 62%.
