A pop song written by composer Nguyen Van Chung of HCM City has been included on two CDs by the Casa Musica, a music company in Germany.
The song Nhat Ky Cua Me (Mom's Diary) is the 10th song on the CD The Best of Ballroom Music Vol 36, which features 45 works performed by popular artists and bands from different countries.
The song is performed by Hien Thuc, one of the country's pop stars who began her career in HCM City.
The album was released worldwide this month in music stores by distributor Mailoder.
"I'm very happy to see one of my favourite songs appear in a new album by a foreign producer," said the song's 32-year-old composer Chung.
Chung added that the Casa Musica had sent him the copyright payment of US$500.

Many young listeners appreciate Chung's creative ability to mix different musical styles. His music combines traditional and modern styles, using Vietnamese folk elements.
He has composed and written nearly 200 songs, including top hits such as Vang Trang Khoc (Tears of Moon), Chiec Khan Gio Am (Beautiful Scarf) and Chuyen Tinh Duoi Mua (Love in Rain).
His songs have been performed by popular singers like Khanh Ngoc, Cao Thai Son and Khanh Phuong.
Chung also works as a music producer.
His Nhat Ky Cua Me was discovered by a member of the Casa Musica's producing board, who first listened to the song at a Vietnam and Germany cultural exchange.
Later the producer contacted Chung to sign a contract on releasing the song on their album.
The Best of Ballroom Music Vol 36 is a successful follow-up to the The Best of Ballroom Music series produced by Casa Musica.
The CD series is popular among dancers, dance teachers and dance music makers worldwide.
The new release contains unique tracks in slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slowfox, and quickstep.
