“Forever Young” to be screened in Vietnam

The 36-episode TV series Tuoi Thanh Xuan (Forever Young) tells stories about the lives, dreams, and choices of young people struggling with the mixed and oftentimes conflicting emotions of friendship and love in Seoul.
The film was jointly produced by the Vietnam Television Film Centre (VFC) and CJ E&M, CJ E&M Pictures, a subsidiary of CJ Group from Korea. 
 
 
 
The drama was produced by three young Vietnamese and Korean directors: Vietnamese directors Nguyen Khai Anh and Bui Tien Huy, and Korean film director Myung Hyun Woo.

From december 17th, Forever Yong , a cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK), be broadcast on Vietnam Television VTV3 every Wednesday and Thursday at 9.20pm. 

It is the second project on which VFC has cooperated with a foreign counterpart.

Tran Binh Minh, General Director of Vietnam Television said that the film proved once more time that the two nations share cultural similarities.

“We plan to continue to cooperate with CJ E&M to develop film production in Vietnam .”, he also said.

“This is part of a national strategy to boost co-operation with regional partners with the aim of enhancing the country’s entertainment sector,” a VFC representative said

The cooperation also marks a turning point in the quality of Vietnam ‘s TV series beacause it is the first show made with professional cameras. 

As it is a joint film product, Vietnamese and Korean playwrights are free to show off their skills to introduce both cultures and beauties of two countries to their film lovers. 

The film crew chose autumn to make the series, the most beautiful season in the RoK. 

They filmed at various RoK’s scenic spots including Namsan Tower , Sky Park , Nami Island and Namhan Sansung, as well as at Vietnam’s famous destinations including Sword Lake , Long Bien Bridge and the Old Quarter.

The film includes performances by a vast array of well-known Korean and Vietnamese film stars including Kang Tae Oh, Shin Hae Sun, Shin Jae Ha, Roh Haeng Ha, Hong Dang, Viet Anh, Nha Phuong, and Kim Tien.
