Film synopsis:
Year 50 BC: all of Gaul is occupied by the Romans. All? Not quite! Because a village inhabited by unwavering Gauls is still resisting the invading hordes.
Exasperated by the situation, Julius Cesar decides to change tactics: because his armies are incapable of imposing themselves by force, Roman civilization itself will seduce these barbarian Gauls. He hence orders luxurious residences, The Mansions of the Gods, destined for Roman families to be built next to he village.
Will our Gaul friends resist the lure of gain and Roman comfort?
Will their village become a simple tourist attraction?
Asterix and Obelix will do everything in their power to thwart Cesar’s plans.
