Exhibition “Recover and Transform” by Marc Turine
Artist Marc Turine modifies old, everyday items and turns them into sculptures.
Boards, boxes, tennis rackets with wooden frames, Jokari rackets and ping-pong are Jean Marc Turine’s basic materials. He collected in Brussels flea market, in the cellars of friends or old stuff markets. Their shapes and materials inspire him to transform them, to divert them from their original functions to create sculptural works in the form of three-dimensional collages. He sometimes gives them a less austere appearance by painting them totally or partially in bright colors.
The exhibition will open on 24 Mar and be on display until 02 Apr 2017 at Institut français de Huế, 01 Le Hong Phong, Hue.
