Exhibition on Nelson Madela’s legacy to be held in Hanoi

It’s is among the activities to celebrate 100 years after the revolutionary`s birth as well as mark the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-South Africa relationship, said the Hanoi leader.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung on July 16 met with Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro, South African Ambassador to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Ambassador Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro described 2018 as a key milestone in Vietnam-South Africa tie, marking the 25th year of establishing the diplomatic relations. The anniversary coincides with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birth.
In October, South Africa would hold a conference to promote international investment into the country, the diplomat said while stressing his wish to see numerous Vietnamese firms to attend the event.
For his part, Chairman of Hanoi highly spoke of recent social welfare activities held by the South African Embassy in Vietnamese provinces.
Regarding the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-South Africa relations, Chung said Hanoi is ready to cooperate with the South African Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold related activities.
Besides, the city will partner with the embassy to hold a photo exhibition on life and career of late President Nelson Mandela in Hanoi, Chung added. 
Besides, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung pledged to create favorable conditions for South African firms who operate in the city. He also hopes that Ambassador Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro would proactively contribute to boosting the cooperation of tourism, trade and investment between Hanoi and South African localities.
