Embassy celebrates Hanoi’s Liberation Day in Mongolia
Ambassador Doan Thi Huong highlighted Hanoians’ spirit of fighting for the motherland and the city’s transition from a war-torn place to a political, economic and socio-cultural center.
The Embassy of Vietnam in Mongolia has celebrated in Ulaanbaatar the 65th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day which falls on October 10.
Attending the celebration ceremony on Wednesday [October 9] included Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong and representatives of the Vietnamese community and students in Mongolia.
In her speech, the ambassador highlighted Hanoians’ spirit of fighting for the motherland and the city’s transition from a war-torn place to a political, economic and socio-cultural center.
Hanoi has made significant achievements over the past decades to become the heart of the country in terms of economic growth, foreign policy, tourism and culture.
Such achievements are considered the pride which Hanoi has made and each Vietnamese person should be proud of.
On the occasion, the ambassador briefed on Vietnam’s socio-economic situation and updated the participants on developments in the South China Sea. She expected each individual will contribute more to the homeland and Hanoi in particular.
On behalf of the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, a representative appreciated the Embassy’s celebration of the Capital’s Liberation Day. It reminds the Vietnamese in Mongolia not only of the country’s glorious history, but also of their duty with the homeland.
