Dien Bien Phu photos displayed at General Giap’s tomb

An photo exhibition depicting the Dien Bien Phu Victory is now on display at Vung Chua-Yen Island in Quang Binh province, the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

This is one among several events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the historic victory at Dien Bien Phu on May 7, 1954.

The outdoor exhibition displays 60 photos showing the progress of the battle at Dien Bien Phu and General Giap taken by reporters from Photography Magazine and Vietnam News Agency.

 

A photo exhibition depicting the Dien Bien Phu Victory is now on display at Vung Chua-Yen Island in Quang Binh province

The exhibition covers an area 50metres long and is arranged along the route leading to General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb, helping viewers imagine the revolutionary activities of the late general.

The exhibition will end on May 14, after which all of the photos will be donated to Quang Binh Province, the hometown of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
