Book Launch: “Wartime Sketches” by Tran Huy Oanh

Launching event of a collection of 189 sketches about wartime in Vietnam by Associate Professor, artist Tran Huy Oanh.
You are invited to the book launch: “KI HOA THOI CHIEN” – Tam Huyet Con Mai Voi Thoi Gian (translation: “Wartime Sketches – Everlasting Devotion”) by Associate Professor/Artist Tran Huy Oanh.
The collection includes 189 sketches about the wars in Vietnam, categorized by periods and places (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Truong Son and Tay Nguyen), as if the artist’s memoir. The scenery and emotions was captured in a unique artistic flow of time. Let us appreciate the now and the sustainable development of nature and humans.
The wartime sketches in the book will be exhibited from 01 Nov 2017 to 05 Nov 2017 at 17 Tran Quoc Toan, Hoan Kem, Hanoi.
Artist Tran Huy Oanh (born 04/02/1937 in Ha Nam). He graduated from the Hanoi University of Fine Arts (Class of 1958 – 1963). He was Vice-principal of the Hanoi University of Fine Arts for 14 years (1984 – 1998).
