Best events in Hanoi this weekend
There are a lot of great events you can enjoy in Hanoi this weekend, and here are the ones we recommend.
Muse Exhibition 2018
The second edition of Muse Exhibition organized by high school students from all over the country aims to honour the beauty of ordinary women – the “muses” in the heart of each Muse artist.
This year, Muse Exhibition 2018 bears the theme Spectrum – the colors which are not only seen visually but also touch our souls. That is the reason why Muse 2018 – Spectrum will bring the colors representing the diverse beauty of women, as well as reminds us of the importance of women in our society then and now through the color scheme of white, pink, black.
The two-day exhibition includes more than 30 carefully-chosen pictures of women who are different in their ages, fields and lifestyle. Each photo is a story chosen from individual interview. More than 40 paintings and installation artworks will also be presented, all bearing the same theme of the exhibition: the diverse beauty of women in society.
Time: Saturday August 11 at 2:00 pm
Venue: AGOhub, 12 Hoa Ma, Pham Dinh Ho, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi

FILMstoryteller 25: “Rhapsody in August”
You are invited to the film screening FILMstoryteller 25: “Rhapsody in August” at Heritage Space.
“Rhapsody in August” is one of three films directed by Akira Kurosawa in the last years of his life, when he turned 80. The view of the movie is the perspective from inside a family with their grandmother lives with the traces of memories of the atomic bombing incident in 1945 in Nagasaki. The war, the flow of time, and the traces of the past are simultaneously presented through inter-generational conversations in a family. These conversations are the connections that are slowly slipping away, an attempt to understand and listen to the echoes of the past.
Time: Saturday August 11 at 7:00 pm
Venue: Heritage Space, 1st floor, Dolphin Plaza, 28 Tran Binh or 06 Nguyen Hoang, My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi
