ASEAN Broker Networking conference to be held in Hanoi next month
According to the organising board, the third ASEAN Broker Networking conference scheduled to take place in Hanoi in October is expected to attract the participation of 28 securities companies in ASEAN, 42 local companies and 133 delegates.

Hanoi will host the third ASEAN Broker Networking event in October, which is expected to draw investment to the country’s stock market.
The event is within the framework of the 25th Conference of CEOs of ASEAN Stock Exchanges, slated to take place in Hanoi from October 6-10.
The conference is expected to create a broader network of ASEAN stock markets and promote investment cooperation. More than 71 pairs of companies have registered for bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation during the event.
The ASEAN Broker Networking conference is an initiative under collaboration between trading floors in the region. The event is held alternately among ASEAN country members to share experience and boost business and investment cooperation.
First held in Thailand in 2011 with the participation of 62 securities companies, the figure increased to 116 in 2015 at the event in Bali, Indonesia, including six firms from Vietnam.
Despite global market fluctuations, Vietnam’s stock market has developed steadily in the past years. The VN-Index recently hit an eight-year peak with a surge in liquidity while market capitalisation has also hit a record high in the past six years.
Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Director General of Hanoi Stock Exchange said experience learnt from securities firms in the region is very important, helping domestic firms integrate with the block’s stock market.
