The school is one of facilities inheriting the longstanding Vietnam-Mongolia friendship which has lasted for 65 years.
A school in Ulaanbaatar was established 70 years ago in a partnership between Vietnam and Mongolia, greatly showing the long-lasting relationship which was built up by generations of people in both sides.

On October 4, 2019, High School No.14 named Ho Chi Minh celebrated the 70th anniversary of its establishment with the attendance of Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong and high-ranking Mongolian officials.

On this occasion, teachers and students of the school showed their pride to be members of the school which is named after Vietnam’s founding leader – late President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Doan Thi Huong said the school is typical for the longstanding Vietnam-Mongolia friendship, becoming a destination for a number of Vietnamese and Mongolian people and connecting those of the two countries.

The school is an honorable symbol for both countries, helping Mongolians understand more about Vietnam through different activities namely painting and writing contests on late President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese Independence Day, and Vietnam’s land and people, the school’s Rector E. Gungaajav said.

Being one of the first schools in Ulaanbaatar, the school appears to be one of the facilities training thousands of students for Mongolia.

In a meeting with Ambassador Doan Thi Huong in February, he said that working at the school named after Vietnam’s founding leader – late President Ho Chi Minh – is a big honor for himself and other staff.

High School No.14 is famous for its education background in Mongolia. A number of senior officials and scientists have graduated from the school.

Former and current students of the school are proud of studying at the school which is named after the late president who struggled for the good relationship between the two nations, E. Gungaajav told the ambassador.

Studying at the school enable students to know more about the late president and Vietnam, playing a crucial role in exchanging the two cultures and strengthening the bilateral ties, he said.

Vietnam and Mongolia also mark the 65th anniversary of the bilateral ties in 2019.
