44 paintings on Vietnam’s land and people on display in Hanoi

This event is a chance for Asian artists to explore and depict the beauty of nature, culture, land and people of Vietnam, as well as to intensify their exchanges in this field of art.
An exhibition displaying 44 paintings on Vietnam’s land and people by 22 artists from Asian countries opened in Hanoi on August 25. and will run through September 3.

The cultural and artistic activity aims to strengthen mutual understanding, solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and other Asian countries in the process of international integration, according to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien.
This exhibition is a chance for Asian artists to explore and depict the beauty of nature, culture, land and people of Vietnam, as well as to intensify their exchanges in this field of art, he added.
The exhibits were created by numerous painters from many countries in Asia. They are from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam who just made a field trip to Hoa Lu ancient capital in the northern province of Ninh Binh from August 21 to 24.
Attending the launch of the exhibition, local and foreign visitors have a chance to explore and enjoy many kinds of works on Asian cultural identity.
This kind of exhibition has been held over the recent years with a view to popularizing the image of Vietnam among foreign friends. This annual event is organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
