2016 Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum to take place in HCM City
The 2016 Vietnam – Singapore Business Forum, hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), will be held in HCM City on July 20.
According to the organising board, around 200 business leaders, industry experts, policymakers and Government officials will attend the 2016 Vietnam – Singapore Business Forum (VSBF).
The event aims to connect companies in Vietnam and Singapore, enabling them to seek cooperation opportunities.
This year's forum is organised with support from Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation, Singapore Business Group, Singapore Business Association in Vietnam, Singapore Tourism Board and International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry Singapore.
VCCI Vice Chairman Doan Duy Khuong said that the VSBF 2016 that is an important event will further contribute to the success of multifaceted bilateral cooperation relations between Vietnam and Singapore, especially after the two countries reached the strategic partnership agreement in 2013.
The event is also a practical platform for businesses to boost international economic integration since both countries have become members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the ASEAN Economic Community, he noted.
The forum will also focus on Vietnam’s consistent efforts to improve the investment environment.
Four panel discussions to be moderated by industry leaders, experts and government officials will be focused on four key topics: financial services, processing and manufacturing, real estate development, tourism and hospitality.
VSBF has been organised in the past in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
