New Year Countdown Festivals will be held in Hanoi to welcome 2018
Numerous cultural activities will be held in the Capital of Hanoi to welcome New Year 2018.
Among those, a highlight will be New Year Countdown Festivals at August Revolution Square, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, and Thong Nhat Park at 8pm on December 31.
Music and dance performance shows will be organised during these festivals to entertain local residents and visitors. Art troupes will perform at cultural houses and public places in all 30 precincts. The Hanoi cinema center will organize mobile movie screenings in rural localities.
Also, a show entitled “Vu khuc anh sang” (Dance of Light) will take place at Dinh Le-Dinh Tien Hoang crossroads. The programme will tell stories about Vietnam’s achievements in 2017 and its aspirations in 2018 through songs and circus performances.
In addition, a photo exhibition will be opened to public at the exhibition house, 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem District, and a series of activities held across 30 districts and towns of the capital city on December 31 evening to welcome 2018.
