Tu Anh - Pham Hung 11:45, 2017/12/28
It became customary for hundreds of Hanoians to use newly-installed water refining bicycles around Hoang Cau Lake, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
Bridgestone Company gave these bicycles to Dong Da District People’s Committee. They are installed around Hoang Cau Lake to propaganda and raise the public awareness to solve the lake water environment in Hanoi.
These bicycles transfer physical power from driving into electricity, activating refining equipment and release the clean water out. With these water refining bicycles, the residents can drive bike for their health and contribute to protect the water environment at the same time.
Right after this bicycles being installed since Dec 15, the locals around Hoang Cau Lake experience these new equipments with great joy. One resident in Hoang Cau 59th Ward shares: “With these useful equipments, now we not only can work out for our health but also contribute to create the clean lake environment.”
Generating electricity from pedaling, the bicycles activate the pump to suck lake water into refining tanks via the pipe system.
The water then is contained in refining tanks with sand and other material for pollutant absorbing.
After this process, two taps will let the clean water out. This new model attracts numerous people, from the children to the elderly
