F1 CEO inspects construction of Hanoi’s race track

Hanoi’s race track is a combination of racing in tight and twisty streets with super-speedway, which has been designed in a way that could deliver astonishing moments for F1 fans from all over the world.
Formula One CEO Chase Carey has recently paid a short notice visit to Hanoi to inspect the construction of  the racing track, local media reported.

Started in March 20, 2019, up to now, the construction of the Pit Building is about to be completed. Executing such mammoth work in only four months has been lauded by the F1 CEO, noting that the surface of Hanoi ​​Pit Building is much larger than others in the world.

Besides, other makeshift items such as stands, safety fences, among others, are also urgently prepared to be ready for installation in January 2020.

During this visit to Hanoi, Chase Carey also had a meeting with Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

Chase Carey and Chung agreed on the transfer of technology and event organizing skills of the race. F1 will always support Hanoi city and Vietnam Grand Prix in preparing and promoting F1 Vietnam Grand Prix worldwide, the F1CEO affirmed.

Chase Carey believes Hanoi will host a unique F1 race with a distinct identity and expressed delight with the construction progress of Hanoi’s race track in such a short time period, and expected preparation works would be completed as schedule.

Carey highly regarded Hanoi’s vision when selecting the location for the street race, adding that Hanoi’s race track is a combination of racing in tight and twisty streets with super-speedway, which has been designed in a way that he believed could deliver astonishing moments for F1 fans from all over the world.

Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung expected the construction of the racetrack would fully comply with new standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). He expected next year’s 5.56km-street circuit race in Hanoi will be uniquely exciting thanks to the street track that would make the event a global spectacle.

F1 tickets have been on sale from July 17, 2019, including the categories of Business, Stands and Universal tickets with various ticket types, bringing different choice for racing fans.
