DIC Development Investment Construction Joint Stock Company announced the establishment of a branch of DIC Corp. called DIC Ho Tram Management Board.

The purpose of establishing DIC Ho Tram Management Board is to develop the company’s ecotourism projects in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Recently, DIC Corp. and Russia - Vietnam Joint Venture - Vietsovpetro (VSP) signed a business co-operation contract on investment in the VSP Sports Center Project in Phuoc Thuan commune, Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
The project’s size is 905,042sq.m, covering 7 functional areas: an international standard 18-hole golf course, central operator cluster, golf training ground, golf course technical services clusters, outdoor sports, entertainment, and general technical infrastructure for the whole area.
DIC and VSP agreed that the project’s contributed capital shall be VND150 billion (US$6.6 million), of which DIC Corp. and VSP shall contribute 94.3 and 5.7%, respectively.
The project’s total estimated investment is about VND400 billion (US$17.6 million). After the contributed capital of VND150 billion (US$6.6 million) have been used up, DIC Corp. shall be responsible for contributing further capital to the project as well as co-operating with potential investors in accordance with laws and regulations.
In addition, DIC Corp. has conducted the implementation study of the first five-star DIC Star tourism complex at Nghinh Phong Cape​​, Vung Tau city, with a total investment of about US$450 million (equivalent to VND10 trillion).
Taking up 51 hectares in ​​the Nghinh Phong Cape area and facing the sea on 3 sides, this project holds the central place in the architectural space of nearby tourism projects, monuments, and religious buildings (such as the Cap-Torini project, Hon Ba Cultural Monument, and the Christ statue, among others).
The project is divided into functional areas, including 5-star hotels, bungalows and condotels, aquarium, as well as commercial and tourism service areas, such as a square, food street, and the carnival route.
In particular, the aquarium project designed by DIC Corp. in co-operation with General Aqua (GA) of South Korea, is expected to become the largest aquarium in Vietnam with an area of ​​29,000sq.m.
As per the 2018 plan, the project would receive approval for its 1:500-scale detailed construction plan and the appraisal of basic and technical designs, then carry out procedures related to land and construction investment in accordance with current regulations.
