Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung hailed efforts made by relevant units in completing procedures to start work on the flyover, making contributions to reducing traffic jam in one of the most important roads in the city.

He asked the units to speed up the construction and ensure safety and quality, adding that the construction department needs to continue studying measures to assure traffic flow on the Ring Road 1 and other roads in the city.

The project was under the supervision of Thang Long Corporation. With a total investment of 148 billion VND (6.6 million USD), it used the remaining capital of Ring Road No.3’s second period with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It is expected to ease traffic congestion at the Trung Hoa intersection of Cau Giay District.
