Online Friday 2017 attracts over 3000 enterprises
More than 3000 enterprises registered to attend the Online shopping program (Online Friday) taking place during 24 hours of today.
Online Friday is the annual event held by Viet Nam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency (Vecita) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This year, the event is expected to achieve sales of VND1.5 trillion (US$220 million), successful orders of one billion with over three billion hits on the internet and 20 million interactive turns.
According to event organizers, numerous famous enterprises take part in the event such as Thế giới di động, FPTShop, ViettelStore, Lazada, Sendo, Adayroi, Tiki, Lotte, Leflair, Hoàng Phúc International, Aeon, Robins, Pico, Mediamart…
To optimize the event efficiency, the organizers collaborated with price-comparison partners including Websosanh, Topgia…to create the floor-price for all items sold in the fair and avoid fake promotion, dumping…
In addition, the transparency is enhanced during the fair with three public price levels for all products including: listed price, selling price and promotion price.
According to Vietnam E-commerce Agency, one of the Online Friday 2017’s highlights is the huge promotion for products meeting three below criterions: authentication, real promotion and free shipping.
Lai Viet Anh, Vecita’s deputy director, told the press meeting held in Ha Noi on Monday that more than 1,300 websites and over 3,000 firms were registering for Online Friday.
“We have targeted one million successful orders with more than three million accesses and 20 million users searching for products and services information at the largest annual event for the e-commerce business and consumer communities in Viet Nam,” Anh said.
She added that the organising board has strictly reviewed prices of products offered at the event to limit the situation of increasing selling prices before promotions. This year, the organiser will publish products’ information, including producers’ listed price, current selling price in the market and promotional price during Online Friday. The promotional programmes will ensure genuine products, price reduction and free shipping for customers.
Last year, the event reported total turnover of over VND 1 trillion and participation of 3,000 firms. More than 370,000 promotional items were provided, attracting 24 million accesses at the event.
