Vietnam’s impressive bridges attract tourists

With unique designs, Rong May glass bridge, Golden bridge and Dragon bridge are impressive destinations for tourists in Vietnam.

Vietnam has a number of impressive bridges that attract many local and foreign tourists to come.

Golden Brigde (Cau Vang) in Danang ranked among the World’s 100 Greatest Place of 2018 by the Time magazine. The bridge is nested at the height of 1,400m above sea level, with a total length of 148.6m. The two massive stony hands emerging from the mountains of central Vietnam may look mossy and cracked like ancient ruins. Spanning nearly 150m long in the Paradise Garden at Ba Na Hills, this bridge is regarded as a special transit stop to deliver visitors from the mountain foot or the French Village to La Jardin D’Amour Gardens.

Dragon Bridge (Cau Rong) in Da Nang is constructed in the shape of a dragon crossing the Han river. With a total length of 666m and width of 37.5m, it was opened to traffic in 2013 with a total investment of US$88 million. On weekend evenings, tourists and local residents enjoy the light and fire show when the bridge is equipped with a lighting system containing thousands of LED lights. Following the fire show there is an illuminated water display as the vibrant bridge changes color multiple times.

Located at the Gate of Heaven on top of the O Quy Ho pass in Sapa, Rong May glass bridge is a destination to attract a lot of tourists. The entire Rong May glass bridge is made of transparent tempered glass, with a walkway of about 5m wide and a length of 60m from the elevator chamber. Visitors will experience the majestic natural scenery of one of the “four greatest mountain peaks” of the Northwest of Vietnam.

Crossing the Red river connecting Long Bien district to Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, Long Bien Bridge was built between 1898 and 1902, becoming the first steel bridge in Vietnam. This historical bridge has been associated with many changes of the capital city. Enjoying the leisurely sunset from the bridge is one of the great experiences for travelers to the capital. As the longest bridge in Vietnam, the Tra Su bamboo bridge has a total length of 10km. This bridge is made entirely from bamboo  and is designed to fit the terrain of this place. Tourists often take a walk on the bamboo bridge, watch the lush melaleuca forest with the fresh air. Photo: Sapblogger.
