The new embassy building demonstrates the partnership and friendship between the US and Vietnam, said the outgoing US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink.

The ambassador has great hopes for the US-Vietnam relations that have made great gains during his term.

USAID assistance towards this capacity building effort has four main components.

The signing of the grant agreement for the Technical Assistance to Develop the Intelligent Operations Center for HCMC is the most concrete evidence for the strong development of the comprehensive partnership in smart cities between the city and the US.

"We all have a responsibility to continue building the ties of trust and friendship that ground our relationship, from security cooperation and health to business and people-to-people ties," says US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink.

Hanoi would do its utmost to contribute to the Vietnam – US relations, as well as the city’s cooperation with US cities, said Hanoi's Party chief Vuong Dinh Hue.

Building on the partnership with US CDC, Vietnam is currently at the forefront of global efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to Covid-19.
