HCM City among world’s best destination for single people
Valentine’s Day is finally here, if you happen to be one of those single people who can’t stand looking at couples wining and dining today and throughout the weekend, perhaps you can plan a trip to one of these destinations.
Ho Chi Minh City has been named among best destinations single people should travel to, according to a list released by Airbnb, a privately held global company headquartered in San Francisco that operates an online marketplace and hospitality service which is accessible via its websites and mobile apps.
Airbnb advises travelers that if you’re up for a cultural trip, then make your way to Ho Chi Minh City. Shop at the local markets – Ben Thanh, visit Cu Chi Tunnel to learn about the underground tunnel used by communist, known as Viet Cong, soldiers during the war, and check out the beautiful Independence Palace.
Sydney in Australia tops the list, followed by Bali in Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Bangkok in Thailand, Jeju Island in South Korea.
Earlier, Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam has been named on the list of the top trending destinations – those places where flight searches have jumped the most year-over-year, according to a list released by Kayak, a travel search engine.
Kayak advises travelers that this big, bustling city in Vietnam is an enchanting mix of new and old, high-rise buildings and ancient temples, hot restaurants and traditional markets.
“Roundtrip flights range from just under US$700 to upwards of US$1,000, but hotels are very reasonable, hovering at around US$100 – 120 a night. Many use Ho Chi Minh City as a jumping off point for exploring the rest of Vietnam, whether it’s a bike trip through the countryside or a lazy trip to the beach,” Kayak wrote.
