At this time, Hanoi is still a safe and reliable destination, and that is why the capital city is chosen by many tourists.

Thanks to drastic measures taken by the capital city to prevent the Covid-19 from spreading, tourists coming to Hanoi could enjoy a pleasant stay free from fear of the epidemic, Hanoimoi reported.

Crowds of people are prone to nCoV infection, thus tourist sites which draw large number of tourists have been disinfected.

In addition to distributing leaflets on measures to prevent and control Covid-19 at places of interest, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports send inspection teams to tourist sites in coordination with the municipal Department of Tourism and local authorities.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, as of February 15, the number of tourists coming to the city was on the rise.

So far, the number of tourists has reached 50-70% of the figures before the coronavirus outbreak. The main descent is seen in national and Chinese tour groups.

According to the department, the number of Asian tourists to Hanoi accounts for 65% of the total, European visitors make up 25%, the rest are from other markets. In the epidemic situation, the number of Chinese tourists has decreased sharply, but it is offset by increases from other markets (Japanese arrivals increased by 200%, those from India rose by 65%, European arrivals are also on the rise).

At this time, Hanoi is still a safe and reliable destination, and that is why the capital city is chosen by many tourists.

Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department Tran Duc Hai said that applying comprehensive measures to ensure a safe destination and improving the quality of services will help Hanoi’s tourism industry overcome the impacts of the epidemic to recover and grow further in the time ahead.

Ensuring safety for foreign visitors

The Covid-19 epidemic evolution is still very complicated, but the tourism industry has proactively adopted flexible solutions to ensure the health and safety of international visitors to Vietnam, according to the Government Portal.

Since Vietnam declared the Covid-19 a national epidemic on February 1, the country has responded to the crisis from the very outset, preventing its spread, said experts in the tourism industry.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has collaborated with localities and tourism enterprises to take measures to prevent the risk of Covid-19 infections and ensure safety for tourists.

Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh affirmed that during the epidemic, the tourism sector always maintains its responsibility for the community and considers tourists’ safety its top priority.
