Fireworks to light up Ho Chi Minh City’s skies marking Reunification Day
Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has issued a plan on the celebration of 44 years of the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975) and the 133rd May Day (May 1, 1886).
Fireworks displays will light up the skies in Ho Chi Minh City at several locations between 9:00 pm and 9:15 pm on April 30 to celebrate 44 years of the National Reunification Day.
The pyrotechnic shows, which are to be funded by enterprises, will be broadcast live by the Ho Chi Minh City Television Station.
Before that, on April 14, Hung Kings Commemoration Day and art program to celebrate 10th anniversary of the inauguration of Hung Kings Memorial site in the National Historical and Cultural Park in Long Binh commune, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City will also be broadcast live by the Ho Chi Minh City Television Station.
The celebrations take place above the Thu Thiem tunnel running across the Saigon river in District 2, Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11, and Vinhomes Central Park in Binh Thanh district. On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will launch several exhibitions at Nguyen Hue walking street, Dong Khoi street and the Labor Culture Palace.
In 2018, fireworks also set off from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm on April 30 from the roof of the Thu Thiem tunnel, and Dam Sen Park in District 11 to celebrate 43 years of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975) and the 132nd May Day (May 1, 1886).
In addition, the municipal Department of Culture and Sports has organized a cross-country run, an event that has been held for 41 years to mark these events.
