Finland’s team wins Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019

The festival has made Da Nang one of Vietnam’s top tourism destinations for summer.
Finland’s team won the 2019 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) for their wonderful display at the final night on July 6 in Da Nang, VnExpress reported.

At the final night, the JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB from Finland and the Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK, showed an outstanding fireworks display that stunned audiences.
On their display, Finland’s team delighted thousands of viewers with their beautiful performance which was inspired by offshore fishing trips of Vietnamese fishermen. Accordingly, the champions received the trophy and a prize of US$10,000.
The second prize belong to the Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK with   US$5,000.
This year’s festival with the theme “Stories by the Rivers” took  place from June 1 to July 6 in Da Nang. The show started promptly at 8pm each Saturday. There was no better time to visit Da Nang. .
The festival involved five nights of competition with five different themes, including “Origins”, “Buds of life”, “Love”, “Burst of Colors” and “Setting Sail”. During the festival, domestic and foreign  pyrotechnic  enthusiasts from all over the world also came together in this inspiring coastal hub for a spectacle of world-class pyrotechnics.
Da Nang held the first DIFF in 2008. In 2017, its transformation from a two-day competition to a month-long festival helped the city maintain its status as a leading tourism hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
The festival has made Da Nang one of Vietnam’s top tourism destinations for summer. In 2018, Da Nang welcomed 7.6 million visitors including 2.87 million foreigners, a 23.3% increase against 2017.
